As founder and president of Parmelee Consulting, Kris is responsible for formulating and delivering project management strategies tailored to meet the needs of nonprofit organizations and small business clients in central Indiana.

Kris founded the company in 2000 and built the successful organization based on drive, determination and knowledge. Prior to forming her business, she served as the coordinator of a nationally recognized arts program for youth at the Indianapolis Art Center and coordinated a series of holistic services through the Shalom Zone Initiative of the United Methodist Church.

Over the past seven years, clients have included a wide variety of nonprofits, small businesses, academic institutions and government agencies. Offering strong expertise in grant strategy and proposal development, Kris has worked with a large number of human service, arts, community development and educational organizations. Recent clients include the Martin Luther King Multi-Service Center, the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, Indiana Black Expo, Panther Education Center, CICOA, Sheltering Wings Center for Women and Roncalli High School.

Kris regularly leads workshops on topics related to foundation research and grant proposal preparation for nonprofit and small businesses. Most recently she was invited to speak at the Indiana Housing Conference (2006), Indiana Economic Development Corporation's SBIR/STTR Phase I Funding in French Lick, Indiana and the 2007 Governor's Conference on Service and Volunteerism.
